Every Year I Pick a Word of the Year
I pick a word that I want to incorporate into the coming year. Some past choices have been “adventure”, “joy”, “abundance”, “serendipity”, “thrive”. You probably see where I’m going here. I use my word of the year to infuse my planning with that feeling, attribute, etc. I have found this to be a very powerful ritual and I’ve learned to really drill down and get to the core of what I want to accomplish, how I want to live, and who I want to be.
This year, my word of the year choice took a little longer than usual. I have so much good in my life, so much to be grateful for and I really never expected my life to look the way it does. If you had told me, five years ago, that this is the way I’d be living, I wouldn’t have believed it possible. I have, with great help, accomplished so much, come so far, and I still have so much more that I want to do. After a whole lot of searching and contemplation, I stumbled upon this:
Vibrant
- full of energy and enthusiasm.
“a vibrant cosmopolitan city” -
quivering; pulsating.“Rose was vibrant with enthusiasm”
- (of color) bright and striking.
-
(of sound) strong or resonating.“a vibrant voice”
